Avenue Red Podcast #067 - Kayne

Kayne, a young collector/selector from Southampton in England shows us his unique fusion of Disco, Funk, Leftfield Jazz and Deep/Acid House... and it totally makes sense! It is beautifully adventurous and we have great admiration for the way these tracks are all so carefully knitted together, even if you might have first felt they shouldn't have all lived together in the same hour-long mixtape... like a multi-coloured patchwork quilt of records that have seemingly clashing colours and patterns but, you then notice that you feel all warm 'n' cosy wearing it... and you just don't give a fuck what anyone else thinks.

"Hello to all Avenue Red listeners! The mix was recorded a couple of weeks ago from my own home on a nice sunny day. As always when playing, my main focus is to maintain the flow as well as keeping it exciting for the people listening/dancing. The mix starts quite mellow gradually progressing but exploring all the things in my library which I enjoy and, naturally, I hope you do too! ;)
