Seasoned record collector/DJ Torsten Brinkmann from Osnabrück, Germany turns his hand to Techno for the first time. A selection laced with deep, edgy lo-fi material and melancholic melodies.

"I am a 32 year-old unknown DJ, music lover and collector from Osnabrück, Germany. The mix was my first one that could be considered as Techno. I recorded this one on a Satarday night with a couple of beers and a good flow :) Normally I am more into Deep House and Lo-Fi Sounds, so it was a nice change and I had a lot of fun mixing my small collection of Techno tracks from the last month.

I started DJ'ing 15 years ago and did that for a while, like 8 years or so. Funky, Disco, French and Filtered House have been the genres I was playing back in the days. I took a long break then and focussed on other things like studying. That was the time when the big "Electro" wave came up... I really lost my interest in DJ'ing and electronic music in general through this period. Two years ago a couple of good friends invited me to a party called "Innervisions" at Robert Johnson. That was the night where I got a bit infected again. Since then I'm more into DJ'ing then ever before and I really love to dig for new and unique sounds." Torsten Brinkmann, March 2016
