Avenue Red Podcast #007 - Gavin Marks

Avenue Red podcast 007 is an all-vinyl mix of deep dubby techno from Gavin Marks who runs the Chicago-based MOSHItaka label, which has just had its first vinyl release in 2013 with the sublimely accomplished Road To River EP from Moscow dub techno artist Doyeq.

MOSHItaka is also a well established podcast with the MOSHImix series, which has featured the talents of well-respected names in the dub techno/deep techno scene including Martin Schulte, Anton Kubikov, Alessandro Crimi (who did our previous episode - https://soundcloud.com/avenue-red/podcast-006-alessandro-crimi) and Sven Laux, to name a few. A series that has got our attention for sure!

We were very pleased that in amongst this fresh selection Gavin included some very special older tracks too, with Bvdub's blissfully ambient "Wish I Was Here" from 2008 flowing into "Floatation Verb" by Sven Weisemann, which was originally released on Smallfish in 2008 also. You can never go wrong with the inclusion of a Rhythm & Sound track either - timeless, just the way we like it!
