Episode 009. In this episode, I am joined by Amy Altieri who tells us her story of being diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer at a time in her life where it seemed like she had it all: a doting husband, a new baby, and an awesome career. Deciding that this diagnosis was not going to derail her, Amy did what few people in her position do: she got several opinions and demanded to understand the scientific and data-based rationale behind their approaches. In other words, Amy wanted to make sure that the care she was receiving was not a standard protocol, but one tailored specifically to her biology.
