The reason I stayed small in my business for so long

“I fear that I’m not as qualified at what I do as her, because I don’t have her success”.

This was a “journal” entry I wrote in my Notes app from 2022.

I’m someone who has hired my own clients in the past.I’m someone who’s read a piece of content without knowing who the author was and saw them as someone I’d hire without question. I’m someone who was working with a client on her messaging a couple of weeks ago and literally said to her “I’m tempted to invest in this!”

I’m someone who has helped clients to make more than DOUBLE the money that I was making at the time. And yet I still believed that there was some kind of hierarchy. Like it’s some kind of queen bee popularity, “who’s the richest” contest. Where one person sets the tone and everyone follows.

But the thing is, WE create this hierarchy.

You get to lead and hold yourself to your stretchiest vision.
