News; trendiest ice cream flavors 2025; game: songs from 1995; goodbye/fun facts....It's frosty and delightfully creamy....a concoction of pineapple, rum, and coconut cream, the Piña Colada.  Although a couple different stories lay claim to it's invention...it is rumored that  bartender Ramón “Monchito” Marrero first prepared it at the Caribe Hilton’s Beachcomber Bar in San Juan, Puerto Rico on August 16, 1954. The hotel had requested that Monchito mix a new signature drink that embodied the flavors of the island. And it's just as good even without the alcohol...The velvety, sugary ingredients come together in a dessert-like concoction that can satisfy your sweet tooth no matter what age or drink preference you have. And if a slushy drink isn't your thing...try pina colada cake or pina colada jelly beans.
