ArTEEtude is based in West Cork´s and combines art, fashion, design and podcast. All exclusive created and produced by visual artist Detlef Schlich. He will dive and discover with us and Dirk Schlömer into the unknown and exciting deep ocean of the creative mind. In these three podcast episodes, Schlömer and Schlich talk about his early inspiration in Cologne, Germany, his tours with anarchists like Rio Reiser´s Bands Ton, Steine, Scherben, Zikato and other solo projects. They will talk about his life and experience in Berlin. About the obstacles in a musician life and how to survive as a music producer, teacher and Rock´n Roller. Eventually, they will speak about Schlömer s future projects, the art of survival as an artist in the 21 century and more. At the end of each episode, we will listen to one of his songs.

Dirk Schlömer (*1960 in Cologne) is a German guitarist, composer, songwriter, music producer and music teacher. He is the producer, singer-songwriter of the post-pandemic kölsche carnival top 10 song “Pandemie, ich kann nimmie!”

Among being a guitar player and lead singer in rock bands, his second heart and soul is beating for acoustic art projects. His sound artwork is inspired for an instant by the neoclassical composition “Amygdala – Memento Mori”, with prayers, mantras and death rituals from different cultures or hypnotic music forms. Among far more projects his increased focus is on pedagogical work with children and teenagers, e.g. guitar courses at Villa Offensiv e. V. and ufa-Kindercircusschule e.V. Musical supervision of the KinderCircusfestival in the ufa-Fabrik Berlin, workshop “Music and Production” in context of NetD@ys Berlin Europa.

Schlich is Visual Artist, Film Maker and Ritual Designer, living and loving in West Cork and best known for his Essay about the Cause and Effect of Shamanism, Art and Digital Culture and the video installation Transodin´s Tragedy. He is mainly working in the field of performance, photography, painting, sound, installations, and film. To research our human condition and create artwork from this reflection he is using often the methodology of the digital shaman as alter ego.
