Growing up as a artist in a city renowned for great works of art might put a heavy burden on the shoulders of some. Fortunately for Spok Brillor this time was also the birth of tagging, bombing and other forms of graffiti that have since turned street art into a legitimate form in Spain. Madrid, like many European cities, is battling graffiti in the streets, and yet street art is alive and well. Spok is one of the artists who have helped validate the worthiness of the art form by earning a living as a street artist; painting the style of art that he once created at night and in the shadows, running from the law. Since those early rebellious days, Spok has painted works all over the world in almost every continent. He is as comfortable in a gallery as well and shows in many locations throughout Europe.
