Today’s show features Brandon L. Mathews speaking with Doug Cortes. Doug, Director of the Business Innovations Legal Clinic for the University of Arkansas at Little Bowen Law School. With nearly 20 years of practice as an attorney, he’s worked in legal aid with Center for Arkansas Legal Services and has experience with business bankruptcy. Doug also has worked IT network administration and is a military veteran. He’s also started a couple businesses himself, so he knows what it is like to be an entrepreneur. Doug is an incredibly knowledgeable individual whose breadth and depth of experience provides immense value to his work at the clinic, and at the core of all that is a sincere desire to help people. Doug shared what resources clinic offers entrepreneurs, and some of the pitfalls startups and small business owners early on.
