On this episode, Tomi speaks with one of the best athletes of all time out of the North East in Nick McCormick. Nick is a former Olympian who specialised in the 1500m and 5000m and represented Team GB at the London 2012 Olympic Games. He's trained with and raced the likes of Mo Farah and has been coached by the top coaches in the world.
Nick details his journey from being a junior athlete, to becoming a senior, racing at the commonwealth games and the Olympics. He takes us through his training and race prep with the late great Lindsay Dunn and how Lindsay helped shape his career.
Nick's deep passion for running has translated into his second career at New Balance. He talks about some of the athletes he get to work with now, how technology has changed running now and how although no longer professional, he still trains, has goals and is looking to push the barriers.
