Hi, this is Maliha Abidi — artist, author, and activist — who this year made it onto Forbes 30 Under 30 for her remarkable work with Women Rise, while also graduating from the Royal College of Art and debuting a solo show at the Art’Otel.
We first crossed paths at a private tour of the Marwan exhibition at @christiesinc . I spotted her bag shaped like a popcorn bucket 🍿(iconic) and said “Hi, can I take a photo of your bag?”, and we instantly clicked. The rest, as they say, is history.
It was such an honour to sit down with one of the leading creative voices championing women, diversity, and social justice through art and storytelling.
My heart left overflowing with inspiration knowing women like her exist — and I hope yours will too.
I can’t wait to share more of our conversation in the days ahead @maliha_z_art ✨
