Episode 157: Global Dance - UP! October/November 2022

Hi everyone. My apologies for the late arrival of this episode. I have recently transitioned from an old analogue system of recording my podcasts to the more digital system using GarageBand. Being the non technical Boomer that I am, I had to study many Youtube tutorials and get some advice from the experts at Store DJ in Melbourne, so a big thank you to them. I actually had this episode planned out back in mid October but only managed to complete it today so I decided to combine October & November into one episode. The set kicks off with the awesome "Caught Up" by Gryffin & Olivia O'Brien and moves into two more great commercial house tracks "Stay With Me" and "Lionheart". Tom Grennan's vocals on Lionheart are amazing. Russ Rich & Debby Holiday cover Eruption's "I Can't Stand The Rain" then Dirty Disco take over with two stand out remixes for Taylor Swift and France Joli respectively. Kryder & Natalie Shay produce a nice cover of rapture and Lee Davey-Brown has a cool track "Ah Yeah". Nicki Minaj hits back with her new song "Super Freaky Girl" and Sam Smith's mammoth hit "Unholy" gets a bangin' remix from Brian Cua. The set closes out with Nick Jay & Eleanor's cover of "Silence". I was a little skeptical when I saw this cover come out but the 7th Heaven club mix is simply jaw dropping. My brother Nick and one of my nearest & dearest friends, Phillip both celebrated event birthdays in October and November respectively so this dual month edition of UP! is dedicated to both of them.
