Episode 11 - Copenhagen Reflections

Angel expresses feelings of isolation due to various personal challenges, including disrepair issues with her Brighton housing, a stalker, and health problems. Despite having a large social network, she felt disconnected at the time.

She also reflects on a specific encounter with her daughter’s Chinese parents-in-law, which made her concerned that there could be a tendency to gaslight the young family. Angel emphasizes that these reflections describe her feelings at the time of the podcast. From today’s perspective, she notes that her daughter has grown strong and independent, is able to navigate these dynamics positively, and is not unduly influenced.

Angel also discusses a hate crime incident and shares her ongoing reflections on adversity as opportunities for growth, considering her contributions to Denmark in contrast with perceived lack of appreciation in England.
