The Pattern of our Confession of Christ from Mark Chapter 8

1)God sustains us and provides for our lives  (Mk 8: 1-10) 
2)We respond by demanding a sign that he is for real ( Mk 8: 11-13) 
3)We struggle to understand what God is doing in our very midst. (Mk 8: 14-21) 
4)God gives us sight (MK 8: 22-26) 
5)having received sight we are able to achieve this break-through of the Confession of Christ  (MK 8: 27-29) 
6)When we do that God reveals to us the Passion of Christ (MK 8: 31) 
7)Our response is -  no Lord I had different plans  - (Mk 8: 33)  
And then finally in this narrative we are called to  
8)Take up your cross (Mk 8 34-37)
