We don’t actually know if Hermes existed. Still, his teachings remained and were passed on through word of mouth until the 20th century when the 7 Principles were recorded into a book called “Kybalion”. Who wrote the “Kybalion” is also unknown. It was published under the ominous name “the Three Initiates”. With so much uncertainty around the 7 Principles, it is easy to dismiss them as fiction or a reminiscence of some ancient cult, but it’s hard to ignore that some of these rings are a little bit true. Maybe that’s why they are sometimes called the 7 Universal Laws. At least to me.
