A friend once told me something that has really stuck with me. And I’ve found that it’s the key to achieving mastery in any domain. He said… do common things for uncommon lengths of time. 

If you want extraordinary results, do common things for uncommon lengths of time. Mastery is less about learning new things, and more about simply executing what you already know… better. 

It’s very easy to fall prey to the tactic of doing MORE. 

You think if you do more, and more, and more, and learn new things… you’ll soon be a jack of all trades, with unlimited skills under your belt. 

But what you’re really building is a mile wild skill set, that’s only 1 inch deep. 

So, if you want to master anything, use what you already have, just use it better.
