• Was a Parade All-America QB at St. Paul High School in Sante Fe Springs, CA
• After high school was offered a 4-yr football scholarship to Notre Dame.
• 1st round Draft pick by the Royals in 1972.
• Played in Major League Baseball from 1975 to 1992.
• Member of the 1985 World Series champs for Kansas City, and the ‘80 AL Champ team
• Coaching career started in 1994 with the Royals and had stops in Texas, Colorado, Houston, Chicago Cubs. Minor league Manager for the Padres and KC.
• Member of the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame - Inducted
