On this episode, we are doing a deep dive into understanding an often misunderstood aspect of so many peoples' lives and experiences: the Inner Critic. According to the Diagnostic and Statistic Manual, each mental health aliment than falls under or is co-morbid to 'personality disorders' has faulty (or negative) self perception as one of diagnostic criteria. Enter the Inner Critic. We unearth how viewing our low self esteem through the lens of this learned, maladaptive coping strategy can empower us to get un-stuck and maybe learn to love ourselves more. And, most importantly, stop us from stopping ourselves and keeping ourselves stuck.
