CISR High School Program

The National Alliance created a high school insurance program for students last year. This program aims to fill over 400,000 insurance jobs opening in the next few years. It’s predicted that Customer Service and Administration Professionals will be in high demand, giving students workforce advantage. Customer Services Representatives (CSRs) with designations are more likely to be hired than CSRs without them. The CISR High School program could help students get high-paying jobs after graduation.

How does the program work?

Students attend for three semesters and can take an optional internship in the fourth semester. The program launched in Texas and was approved for Essential Knowledge and Skills for Career Preparation, Insurance Operations, Money Matters, Statistics and Risk Management, and Business Law.

What do students get?

The CISR High School program gives students a professional insurance designation and introduces them into the industry’s shrinking workforce. They also get opportunities to attend industry events and can apply for scholarships to attend insurance-based university programs.

Focusing exclusively on risk management and insurance professional development, the Risk & Insurance Education Alliance provides a practical advantage at every career stage, positioning our participants and their clients for confidence and success.
