My grandfather once took me fishing, just once though. It was an important trip though, learned a lot that day. He taught me how to be patient, what delayed gratification is, where the g spot is. The man was 76 when we went fishing, and he passed away 13 years later, just shy of his 90th birthday. He said if he made it to 90 he wanted to go to a brothel. He knew deep down he wasn't going to make it. Years of alcoholism had riddle his body with issues. He was a shell of the man he once was, and even of the one that took me fishing all those years back. God works in mysterious ways. Before my grandpa passed I wanted to try and give back to him. I wanted to show him the impact he made on me and the lessons I learned for him were life lessons that weren't taken lightly. He was with me on the porch and I had my laptop out. He asked what I was watching, I seemed to be enjoying it a lot. He sat down next to me and I pressed play. We watched 3 straight episodes of the All Serious Subjects (ASS) podcast. The only reason we stopped was because my battery died. "These boys really know how to make a joke about a cripple!", grandpa loved their humor. "Nothing like laughing at someone making fun of the disabled, I would know, I have a walker!", he was hooked. It was all he wanted to watch or listen to outside of old Johnny Carson reruns. There's nothing like bringing a family together, and this all totally happened. So let this podcast do miracles for your relationship with a loved one and press play.
