In this podcast I discuss what I typically take with me in regards to gear to any Milsim Operation, as well as how I prepare for 24+ hour Operations. Below you'll find the Gear list I use, please copy, and use as you need!

At a minimum I take the following in my Mountain Alice Pack with me on any field operations. Real world and Airsoft.

Alice Pack (Medium):
- 1 Additional Set of Utilities
- 2 Pairs of socks
- 2 Pair of Skivvy drawers (Underwear)
- 2 Undershirts
- Hygiene kit, to include toothbrush/paste/soap/shampoo/fieldtowl/under arm grease (Deodorant) Beard Oil
- Poncho and Poncho Liner (MUST HAVE!, if you don't use it for anything else other then sleeping in. )
-Cold Weather Layer- Polypro underwear Tops and Bottoms (Long Underwear) (even if you don't need them pack them, made the mistake at Guernsey of pulling them out of my pack to wash them and not put them back in).
- Shell Jacket (Something that is light like a wind breaker and can fit over your uniform but under your gear)
- Gloves, Cold Weather and Work
- Flashlight, with green/red lens, additional batteries for EVERYTHING (One flashlight in pack, one on gear)
- Multi Tool (in pack or on gear)
- First Aid Kit/Sewing Kit
- Baby wipes non smelly
- 3 days Food ( cooking utensil/pocket stove is optional but nice to have )
- Pogue Bait (Snacks, Candy, Comfort foods etc.)
- Sleeping Bag (Mine is compressible to fit on the bottom of my pack. If you don't feel like bringing a sleeping bag that’s where your poncho and poncho liner come into play. remember, your going to be sleeping only for short periods and in full kit and uniform, so you wont need much to stay warm).
- Additional water(Canteens or  Hydration system of your choice. This is not on the one you carry on your gear, this is an Additional to that one. Never have to much water).
- Additional small items you might need/want.

On Person:
Uniform: Utility Uniform, with Undershirt,
Hat: Boonie, Ballcap
Boots: Broken in! Water resistant/proof, good solid soles
Socks
Skivvy drawers, clean
Watch
Shemagh, bandanna

This is my typical packing list/gear load out. My Alice pack doesn’t stay with me. It is typically staged at HQ/CP with the rest of the squads and I operate out of my Gear.  Adjust to what you have/what you think you'll need. Don't hump a three day assault pack around if you don't need to. You'll always have a fall back location I.E. your Company CP.

Sleeping in the field: Pretty simple, first your going to be sleeping in the field, there is no going back to the barracks. If your squad is tasked with a defensive operations or offensive operations and its going to be during a time when you think you might get some shut eye, take your poncho liner with you, they are small enough if you have a buttpack you can stuff it in there. If you don't have a poncho liner take your shell jacket for cool evenings. If you are in the CP/HQ during sleep cycles pull out the poncho liner and rack out.(continued)
