  1. Psychologists define resilience as the process of adapting well in the face of adversity, trauma, tragedy, threats, or significant sources of stress. Resilience isn’t just about bouncing back after a difficult situation, but it’s about handling new stresses better from the growth and learning from those situations.  
  2. Strategies for building resilience include: 
    • Creating/fostering connections with understanding, trustworthy, and empathetic people who will support you.
    • Practicing self-care, and health and wellness of body, mind, and spirit.
    • Finding purpose in your life - through helping others, personal growth, going after goals, and self-discovery.
    • Raising your vibration - work on optimism and hope, keep perspective, adopt more balanced thinking.
    • Seek professional help from a licensed mental health therapist.
