Welcome back to the Adventures in Sustainable Living Podcast.
After several episodes on various topics, such as our consumeristic society, how much waste we produce, and various sustainable countries, I felt as if it was time to produce an episode on just how we can go about changing our culture.
The simple fact is that developing a sustainable future is not possible unless people believe in the underlying intrinsic value and they act in ways to support it.
But, as we all know, it is difficult to get people to change their ways. Additionally, most studies have proven that just spouting facts to people about a particular problem is not enough. It only causes further avoidance behavior and is not motivation enough to result in a change.
Because of this, I wanted to produce this episode and give you seven tips on how to produce a cultural change. And the best part is that it is all easy.
As Theodore Roosevelt famously said, "Nothing worth having was ever achieved without effort."
Developing a sustainable future is not only necessary but it is also worth the effort. Find out how to be a part of that effort.
I hope you enjoy this episode.
Always live sustainably,
Patrick
