The heat is upon us and we have decided to talk about some summer based terror. The Beach House is an interesting horror movie that uses a number of different styles. The fantastically named My Heart Can't Beat Unless You Tell it To breaks some basic rules when writing a story. Did either one work?

Joe Bob Briggs is a horror icon. We share memories of Monstervision and talk about what we would like to see on the new season of The Last Drive-In. Fletch is another memorable part of our childhood. We talk about the weird career of Chevy Chase and if Jon Hamm can do the iconic role justice.

The first movie we look at is the awesomely titled My Heart Can't Beat Unless You Tell it To. While it may sound like a giallo, it is something much different. The emotional tale focuses on the now and completely ignores the past. We debate how wise of a decision this was.

For our first Summer Horror movie, we covered The Beach House. This 2019 film plays with audiences expectations while using a wide array of camera tricks. We talk about the colors used, the protagonist, and keeping the audience in the dark.
