Episode 101: 'Hunter Hunter's' wild ending & rags to riches films

Rags to riches tales have been an important part of storytelling since the beginning of time. This week, Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel talk about their favorite movies about sudden riches. They also talk about 'Hunter Hunter' and one of the craziest endings in years.

Covid-19 has been in the news cycle all year. It was only a matter of time before movies about it starting coming out. While this has already begun, the guys talk about HBO Max's upcoming release and whether people are interested.

Hollywood is constantly talking about how it is becoming more inclusive. This has been a case of "I'll believe it when I see it" for the most part. Surprisingly, there was a noticeable, if small, change in 2020.

The guys also look at 'Hunter Hunter'. The IFC Midnight release is a survival horror that is story driven and very tense. It also has one of the most talkable endings in years.

This week's main segment is rags to riches movies. Of course, there is Trading Places and Cinderalla, but Danny, Blake, and Nathaniel talk about why they are so popular. There is a discussion about how much audiences are willing to be preached to plus some good old fashioned rich people bashing.
