Motivation    Enthusiasm 

Which is great news because I am not a super peppy or enthusiastic person.

And hearing people say things like "just do it" didn't actually help me just do the thing... just made me feel bad and lazy I couldn't get myself to do the thing.

So how did I learn how to motivate myself to get shit done?

Well, I learned a different working defination of motivation: All human behavior is motivated pain and pleasure. Either I want to move away from pain or closer to pleasure. Moving away from pain can get us started, but moving closer to (internal) pleasure keeps me going.
