Torrential downpours in the central US, New storm with rain, snow already eyeing Northwest, and rain coming to parts of the Northeast

Rain for the central and southern United States will be largely beneficial for many areas in need of a thorough soaking, localized flash flooding is also a concern from Wednesday to Thursday; In the Northwest, a second of a storm duo will bring drenching rain and mountain snow through Thursday. Indirect effects from the storms will lead to gusty winds in Southern California; and the Northeast received the heaviest rain in over a month this past weekend, and it may not be long before more downpours spread across part of the parched region.
