Healing History - Artist Kristen Downing

Original Air Date: 1/13/2022 - In honor of Black History Month and its theme Black Health and Wellness, the Artist Advisory Board and the Arts Council are hosting an exhibition titled “Healing History”. The speaker Dion Guillory is speaking with activist, artist, gallery owner, and guest curator, Kristen Downing about her contributions to the exhibition and how she’s inspired by African-American history. They speak on how art in the African-American community can help dismantle the cultural silence that tends to surround black households.
