It has a naive—almost spiritually innocent—look about it. And yet, the word ‘girl’ can be quite malicious and vicious when in the hands of people who don’t care two hoots about being humane.

This episode takes a look at how ‘girl’ was once a leveller and its tendency to find itself in the midst of verbal assault.
