JONATHON TOD HILTY

Grand Rapids-based 'antiquarian photographer', Jon Hilty, is the world's only Autochromist, an otherwise obsolete color photo process that first arrived to the scene in 1907. In a world with camera phones and Instagram, Jon is mastering an antique craft that rebukes the immediate nature of modern-day photography. Other photo processes discussed: Dagguereotypes, Tintypes, and Polaroids. Music by Crystal Castles, Grouplove, Wilco, Randy Newman, and Modest Mouse. Comedy by Norm MacDonald and Mitch Hedberg.
