The Joy of Giving, with Rev. Kally Elliott. Series: Where Your Heart's Gladness Meets The World's Needs. A Spacious Christianity, First Presbyterian Church of Bend, Oregon. Scripture: Matthew 9-10.

We are all called to love one another, to be compassionate, and to give of ourselves. It is in giving that we receive true joy. When we go out into the world and love those around us, we are bringing light and hope into their lives. We are making a difference in the world, one act of kindness at a time. Each time we give of ourselves, we open our hearts just a little bit more and allow more love to flow in. The joy of giving is truly a gift that keeps on giving. It blesses both the giver and the receiver, and it is one of the most rewarding things we can do with our lives.

About the Series, Where Your Heart's Gladness Meets The World's Needs.: We all have a unique role to play in this world. Each of us has something special to offer that nobody else can provide. When we figure out what that is and start using our gifts to bless others, we experience true joy. This is what it means to have your heart's gladness meet the world's needs. It's not about doing things that are easy or convenient. It's about doing what God has specifically called you to do, even if it's difficult or inconvenient. It's about using your gifts and talents to make a difference in the lives of others. When you do this, you may just find true fulfillment and happiness.
