Recreation and hobbies contribute substantially to our emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing. Spending time doing the things we enjoy, we are living in the moment... giving peace and grace a chance to flow freely through us into our pursuits.
While we are looking for God in those large, bright and unmistakably holy places, God is hidden in plain sight. Right there in the midst of the nitty gritty of our everyday lives. Look around. Listen carefully. peer into your heart. What do you see? What do you feel? What do you hear? What do you find? Where are the unexpected places where we might encounter God? May we listen to our lives hoping to find God's presence in unexpected ways.

At First Presbyterian, you will meet people at many different places theologically and spiritually. And we love it that way. We want to be a place where our diversity brings us together and where conversation takes us all deeper in our understanding of God.
We call this kind of faith “Spacious Christianity.” We don’t ask anyone to sign creeds or statements of belief. The life of faith is about a way of being in the world and a faith that shows itself in love.
