Today we sit down with Collin Dees to talk all things health and wellness.
We start off by exploring how Collin first got the idea of getting involved in the medical field. It started when he experienced the power that proper nutrition had on him from a performance perspective. Collin was a successful high school wrestler that eventually wrestled in college. He credits his success with his intelligent approach to nutrition off the mat. His original passion surrounding nutrition had him wanting to study dietetics, but the (literal) payoff just wasn't there.
After graduating from college he became a Physicians Assistant at the Cleveland Clinic. He quickly became disenchanted with the traditional medical approach of constant medication without lifestyle adaptation. Paired with the lack of skin in the game that comes at a large company, Collin made a change and is now pursuing a health approach that blends medicine, nutrition, and supplementation. Collin currently works at a wellness clinic in Tampa, Florida, and publishes his own work through E-books and social media posts.
The second half of the podcast consists of the actionable steps you can take to maximize your health. From supplementing with Vitamin D and Magnesium to filtering your water and cooking with stainless steal pans. This is where Collin showcases his expertise in health and nutrition.
