008. High Risk, High Reward | Crypto, Entrepreneurship, and Dropping out | Jerry Antonucci

Crypto is the Wild West of financial instruments. You can trade 24/7 and there's little regulation. Recently, crypto has come under fire from the FTX scandal. Historically, we have several big time investors (Buffet, Monger) who believe it's a junk asset class and at least some coins will go down to 0.  We have other investors (Wood, Musk) who believe in a digital future. Who's right? It's impossible to know. Today we sit down with a believer in Crypto - Jerry Antonucci to explain his side of the story. 


Jerry began working for the crypto company - Blue - his senior year of high school. After running a successful marketing campaign for them and getting paid in Blue token, the run up in 2016 saw him build substantial wealth at a very young age. After the initial success Jerry continued to invest in different coins and build his net worth in the digital asset class. 

He maintains and grows his crypto portfolio to this day, but to make fiat money he runs a car detailing business. This was a service he started providing when he needed cash and didn't want to liquidate his crypto funds. He got into car detailing specifically because that's where his interests, skills, and needs all intersected (Que The Lost Millennial Male - Episode 1). 

He keeps himself in good community by being a real estate agent on the side. This was an interesting side bar when it comes to our conversation. Volume is at a 12 year low at the time of this recording and clients are slim pickings. We talk about the struggles of real estate and some of the strategies to make hay when the sun is shining. 
 
In total, we get into the tactics of finding the right cryptocurrency to invest in, what to avoid, and how to create a-symetrical bets. We talk about the struggles of running a small business. And lastly we touch on the real estate market in Western PA.
