14. The Power of Nurturing with Erin Hornstein

This week, Karmen sits down with a close friend. Her and Erin Hornstein have a candid conversation about what it takes to build and exit an incredibly successful business.

Erin Hornstein is the founder of Plum Sage Flowers, but she credits her entrepreneurial spirit to a career beginning in healthcare and the medical field where she relied upon a series of formulas to create policies and procedures that she says have served her and helped to shape her strong work ethic. Erin had to decide when it was time to exit from something she was passionate about after she realized that there were obvious differences in the newest workforce. While this shift in the workforce is not necessarily a negative thing, Erin values the characteristics that a new and fresh leader can successfully implement with a different group of people. Erin is also a mom, adventurer, and creative. She and Karmen dive into her first A Line experience, her most memorable pieces and where she wore them, and the joy of motherhood--including mothering her company and sending it on its next journey.
