1. Equity and Empowerment with Matthew Morris

In the premiere episode of the A Line Stories podcast, Karmen sits down with Matthew Morris. He started Matthew Morris Salon and Skincare in Denver in 2006 and has since grown it to three locations and 80+ employees. Matthew has been a lead stylist for events like New York Fashion Week and the Victoria's Secret Fashion show, as well as serving as Artistic Director at L'Oréal.

He founded Elevate Salon Institute to create equity, inclusivity, and diversity in the beauty industry and provide diverse beauty education. Elevate teaches multi-ethnic hair types and styles to all members of the community.

Matthew Morris Salon and Skincare, in collaboration with A Line Boutique and Jonathan Simkhai, is hosting the Matthew Morris 16 Year Anniversary Fashion Show on Thursday, September 9th 2022.

Proceeds from the show will go towards the The Matthew Morris Scholarship for members of the BIPOC community looking to enroll in Elevate Salon Institute in Westminster, CO.
