CT, Rich, and Phil were able to meet with Eric and Rebecca Kilburn from Goodrich, MI. If you are not familiar with this story, that would be shocking. News agencies all over the world have picked up this life-changing story and it is amazing!
Goodrich Freshman Eric Kilburn (14 years old) has gone internationally viral based on his need for size 23 shoes. A recent GoFundMe request has catapulted him and his mom, Rebecca, into the spotlight and the details on how all of this came to be are mind blowing.
Recently, Eric has received a care package from Shaquiille O’Neal which includes some of his shoes. And, they have spoken on the phone! And, companies like Under Armor have entered the conversation and have found ways to help Eric. Robb Cropp, Under Armor, Senior Director of Footwear, traveled to meet Eric and took measurements of his feet. His team will design shoes that are custom made which will give Eric support and allow his feet and ankles to heal!
Imagine going through life with shoes that don’t fit. Imagine having a child with shoes that don’t fit. That is something that all of us take for granted. You’ll hear from both Eric and his Mom on this experience. It is heart-warming and inspirational … Tune in to hear, A Great Story!
Future episodes will give updates on Eric’s recovery from shoe related injuries and his success on the field!
