Verse 1:

A thousand scattered duties pulling me apart,

Disturbing my mind, overwhelming my heart.

The dishes, the mortgage, all the things I must do,

In the state of Shalom, they all dissolve into You.

If you invested the effort in this journey so far,

These seven righteous principles shine as one star

Light courses through our veins and penetrates our bones,

It will illuminate from within—and then overflow.

An obnoxious cacophony, replaced by silence.

Now you become the star, burning bright like the sun,

Now you see clear—other than God there is none.
