Linda's ancestors are from the city of Nayriz in Iran and accepted the teachings of href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B%C3%A1b" target="_blank"the Bab and later became Baha'is. The Bab was the prophet forerunner of Baha'u'llah and Baha'u'llah is the prophet-founder of the Baha'i Faith. She received her PhD from John Hopkins University School of Public Health and worked in the field of public health teaching at Johns Hopkins and Emory University.
