Gooood morning!

For the 20th episode, we take a trip down memory and discuss everything from what we've been watching to why 1998 was such a pivotal cultural year.

Here's a shortlist of some hot takes...

  • Jordan finally watched Thor: Ragnarok
  • Led Zeppelin never had a bad album
  • For some reason Jordan started watching Blue Bloods
  • Joe's distaste for what would become known as the nu-metal
  • A brief eulogy for Anthony Bourdain (RIP)

Yes the theme of the 20th episode is what happened 20 years ago. The numerology connects like Corsican Brother. After the break, we sit down with Jose Torres, a producer/filmmaker, who worked on a documentary for Tidal about Big Pun's classic debut album Capital Punishment. The album, which was released in, you guessed it, 1998, stood out as a huge moment for Bronx, NY hip-hop, with its influence still being felt in other variations today.

So if you're feeling nostalgic and/or in the mood for a great interview, fire up those Bluetooth speakers or headphones and listen to this episode.
