Karen is the inspirational gospel choir director of Kingdom Choir who shot to fame as a result of their rendition of ‘Stand by Me’ at the Royal Wedding in May 2018. Karen is also a dear friend of mine whom I’ve known for many years and who has encouraged so many people to find their voices and express themselves through singing in a choir. In this podcast we talk about some of the challenges and changes she has experienced since the Royal Wedding, what it is like to become a celebrity overnight and what that means in terms of being resilient and keeping in touch with your values and your integrity.
