On this week’s episode, Scott and Shaun are joined by retired Royal Canadian Mounted Police Sergeant, Laurie White, to discuss her biographical book, 10-33, An Officer Down Steps Back Up.

Laurie covers her journey to and through the Mounties, and how losing her leg after being shot during the execution of a search warrant, became the path less traveled for both her and the RCMP.  Laurie overcame many obstacles, both mentally and physically, through her grit, determination and humility during the challenging process of recovery and her unprecedented return to full service. 

Law enforcement officers regularly make sacrifices during their time on the job;  Laurie’s story is one that emulates the proverbial, “pound of flesh,” both figuratively and literally.
