Mairi and Mat, along with the revenant knights of Sir Godfrey, venture into the swamp to retrieve the lost skull of Argynvostholt from the witch Baba Lysaga. The drowned land is home to more terrors than just the sorceress, however, and unknown terrors lurk in the murky mere.
