Facts:

  1. Humans are the only animals that purposefully delay sleep.
  2. If it takes you less than 5 minutes to fall asleep, you’re probably sleep deprived.
  3. Sea otters hold hands when they sleep.
  4. In the 17th century people slept in 2 shifts.
  5. 75% of people dream in color.
  6. Whales and dolphins literally fall half-asleep.
  7. Babies steal 1,055 hours from their parents.
  8. It's common for the deaf to sign in their sleep.
  9. Going for 16 hours without sleep is like having a blood alcohol level of .05%.
  10. Studies show that people who sleep between 6.5 hr. and 7.5 hr. a night, live the longest.
